How to become member of CEB?

To become member, you need to register. You can register on the CEB website, by phone, or the fax. You can register as Trader PM, or Trader SM. After verification of the registration data, your company will become trader on the Exchange. You will be allowed to submit orders to the system and create contracts.

What is difference between Direct exchange membership, and Free carbon membership?

  • Direct exchange member trades directly on the primary market. With higher entrance fees, it is possible to trade for lower trade fees. Fees:
    • One time entrance fee for the trader is 2000 €
    • One time certification of the broker 1000 € + test 100 € (required for all other commodities than carbon market)
    • Annual fee 1000 €
    • Trade fee 0,003 EUR/credit for carbon market - EUA, CER, ERU, AAU or others
    • Trade fee 0.1% of the contract value to trade any other commodities
    • Trade fee 0.5% of the contract value to trade MON contracts (long term contracts)
  • Trader SM is trader on the secondary market. With zero entrance fees, it is possible to trade for higher trade fees. Fees:
    • No entrance nor annual fees
    • Trade fees payable to direct exchange member, usually 1% of the contract value or 0,015 EUR/credit for the carbon market
